Jeremy Gruszka of Avalon is the regional sales manager for 2 Plant International. I’ve known him for a long time as he worked at Soergels in Wexford. He introduced me to Easy Bloom Pads at the Mid Atlantic Nursery Trade Show in Baltimore a couple of season ago. They are still something new to most gardeners, it’s something to look at for planting in fall or spring. A group of bulbs is prepackaged in a biodegradable paper disc. Just dig a hole and drop in the paper disc filled with bulbs. It’s a great way to get away from planting in a row of soldiers and creating beautiful drifts of flowers.

Easy Bloom Pads are a new way to plant bulbs. A group of bulbs are inside a biodegradible paper disc, it makes bulb planting easy and forms drifts which look natural in the landscape.

Here’s a video that shows how to plant them. I had great success with the Easy Bloom Pads in my garden.
