My wife and I recently moved back from Western North Carolina and bought an old brick Victorian house we are renovating. Late this past summer we got excited about Doug’s great book Basil , Tomatoes and Garlic. Anyhow we decided to grow garlic amongst other things this next year . We researched organic garlic suppliers and went with a semi -local provider for the Music variety. Well as we knew we couldn’t plant till October / November. As life often does we became busy with the renovations , kids and life. Over Christmas I found the bulbs of Garlic while looking for a hiding spot for Christmas presents. After some thought I wrapped then up for NY Daughter from Santa. She was a but puzzled but who doesn’t want garlic for Christmas (Dracula aside). Anyhow, we said a prayer did a dance and planted them the day after Christmas. So here’s hoping for a late summer Christmas miracle in 2017.
