The spring garden might be the most satisfying, especially as the daffodils and tulips share space with one fading and the other coming on strong.
Last fall I planted bulbs using a new product called Easy Bloom Pads. It’s a group of bulbs sold together in a biodegradable paper disc. The whole thing is planted and when three or more are planted next to each other, they make a great drift of color in the spring.
All the work last fall to plant the bulbs is paying off now. It’s a great time to jot down some notes about what looks good and where more bulbs are needed.
‘Sir Winston Churchill’ is a favorite daffodil. It’s a long bloomer, late bloomer and smells like gardenias.
Hyacinths hang on, releasing their magical perfume into the air.
Enjoy the subtle changes in the garden, each day brings something new to enjoy, take time to soak in the beauty.
