I’ve know Jeremy Gruszka of Marshall for many years, I’ve seen him grow up working at Soergel Orchards in Franklin Park.

It was a pleasant surprise to see him Manning the 2 Plant International booth at the Mid Atlantic Nursery Trade Show.

Gruszka is regional sales manager for the company. Bloom Pads are one of the products I’ve written about before. A number of bulbs are grouped together in a biodegradable paper disc. Gardeners can plant five or more bulbs at a time to make a drift of flowers.

Bloom Pads are an easy way to plant bulbs. Now they are available with spring planting varieties.

Now the company is not only offering fall planted varieties, but also spring. They new spring planted bulbs include callas, caladiums, gladiolus and more.

“All you have to do is toss it in a hole and you’re done, Gruszka says. It’s a lot faster and easier.”

Seeds Are Easy is a pretty cool thing too. It’s a burlap bag that contains soil and seeds. The soil is put into the bag, the seeds are added along with water and it’s a self contained herb garden. There are two categories of herbs, culinary and herbs used to make tea. Some of the seeds offered are basil, thyme, lavender, chives and more. There’s even a small tomato variety that will grow in the bag.

Everything you need to grow these herbs is included in these Seeds Are Easy packages.
