Somalis adopt vacant city lots to create farm through City of Pittsburgh

The City of Pittsburgh’s Adopt-A-Lot program allows people to take vacant lots and transform them into gardens. The United Somali Bantu of Greater Pittsburgh has done just that, farming nearly an acre in the Perry Hilltop neighborhood.
